The Power Platform Podcast is all about the people behind the tech.
What started as a laid-back blether between Mark and Iain has grown into a broader, more colourful conversation featuring voices from across the Microsoft community. The show keeps a relaxed, chatty tone, but the heart of it is always the same — real people, real journeys, and the stories you don’t usually hear in product demos or release notes.
Hosted by Mark Christie and, for Season 4, joined by Malin, along with the usual pals dropping in along the way, the podcast shines a light on the humans who make the ecosystem what it is. It’s not just about what tools they use or what features they ship — it’s about how they got here, what they learned the hard way, what surprised them, and what keeps them showing up.
Each episode explores career paths into tech, unexpected pivots, community stories, lessons learned, accessibility, adoption, and the messy, brilliant reality of working in and around the Power Platform world. Some guests are well known, some are hidden gems, all of them bring something real to the table.
If you like your tech conversations honest, people-first, and occasionally a bit cheeky, you’re in the right place. Grab a cuppa and join the chat.
About the Hosts
Mark Christie
One half of the podcast and chief stirrer of conversations. Mark is known across the Power Platform community for his work in Field Service and Copilot, along with a practical, outcomes-focused approach to technology. Based in Scotland, he spends his time connecting people, ideas, and solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem.
As founder and lead host of the Power Platform Podcast, he focuses on drawing out the human stories behind the platforms — how people actually use the tech, how they learn it, and how they build careers around it. His style blends deep technical understanding with an easy, conversational delivery that makes even complex topics feel approachable.
Malin Martnes
Joining as co-host for Season 4, Malin brings product depth, structure, and a strong people-first lens to every discussion. She is best known for her expertise in Customer Insights Journeys and for authoring the only dedicated Dynamics 365 Marketing book currently available.
Her community work centres on enablement, clarity, and practical guidance that helps organisations turn customer data into meaningful engagement. On the podcast, she balances product knowledge with thoughtful questions and sharp observations, keeping conversations grounded, useful, and human.
Iain Connolly
Iain Connolly is a director at Proximo 3 and the founder of Scottish Summit, one of the largest community-driven Microsoft events in the UK. A long-time contributor to the ecosystem, he has been working with Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform since the early Dynamics CRM days, giving him a deep, practical perspective on how the technology — and the community around it — has evolved.
As the original founder of the Power Platform Podcast, Iain helped shape the show’s people-first approach and its relaxed, honest style. His focus has always been on real-world use, shared learning, and creating spaces where the community can connect, contribute, and grow together. That same philosophy runs through his event work, community leadership, and partner activities.
Known for bringing people together and getting good ideas off the ground (often over coffee and a whiteboard), Iain combines platform experience with community building, helping bridge the gap between technology, events, and the humans who make both successful.
We keep the focus where it belongs — not just on the technology, but on the people who make it matter.
